Reconnect Retreats

By booking a place on the retreat, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

  1. Booking via deposit
  • deposit of 15% of the retreat price is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • The final balance will reflect the accommodation chosen, and must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the retreat start date.
  • Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
  1. Cancellation & refund policy
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more before the retreat start date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the retreat start date will result in the deposit being retained, unless cancellation is due to illness or other serious, unforeseen extenuating circumstances (at the organiser’s discretion).
  • You may transfer your place to another person, subject to organiser approval. If your place is successfully filled, your deposit will be refunded in full.
  • No refunds are given for early departures, missed activities, or unused services.
  1. Changes or cancellation by the organiser
  • The organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the retreat due to circumstances beyond their control.
  • If the retreat is cancelled by the organiser, all payments made will be refunded in full. The organiser is not responsible for additional costs incurred, including travel expenses.
  1. Travel arrangements & transfers
  • All travel to and from the retreat location is the responsibility of the guest and is not included in the retreat price.
  • Travel costs are non-refundable, regardless of retreat participation.
  • Guests may coordinate travel with other participants; the organiser may assist but does not guarantee shared travel arrangements.
  • Complimentary group transfers from the designated airport or train station are included in the retreat price.
  • Guests must advise their arrival and departure times in advance. Transfers will be scheduled to coordinate with other guests arriving at similar times.
  • Guests arriving outside scheduled transfer windows may be required to arrange and pay for their own transport.
  1. Sustainable travel & train incentives
  • Guests are encouraged to travel by train where possible, as it has a lower environmental impact than flying.
  • 5% discount on the retreat price is available for guests travelling by train, upon provision of valid proof of a train ticket.
  • Group train travel can sometimes offer up to 10% off from train companies. Guests wishing to explore group train travel must email the organiser in advance to coordinate.
  1. Accommodation, venue rules & property care
  • Guests must respect the venue, accommodation, and surrounding property.
  • Any damage caused by a guest may be charged to that guest.
  • Quiet hours must be observed between 10:00pm and 7:00am.
  • No additional guests are permitted on the property unless registered for the retreat.
  • Guests must comply with all venue rules and local regulations.
  1. Meals, drinks & alcohol policy
  • All meals are included, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided daily.
  • Guests must notify the organiser of any dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances prior to the retreat.
  • Drinks and light refreshments are available throughout the day.
  • defined allocation of alcoholic beverages per person per evening is included.
  • Additional alcohol must be purchased from the retreat bar at published prices.
  • Guests are expected to consume alcohol responsibly. The organiser may refuse service where appropriate.
  1. Excursions & transportation
  • The retreat includes organised excursions to neighbouring towns and locations.
  • All drivers are appropriately licensed and insured.
  • Participation in excursions is voluntary and at the guest’s own risk, except where negligence can be attributed to the organiser.
  1. Swimming pool, facilities & assumption of risk
  • swimming pool is available on-site.
  • Use of the pool and facilities is entirely at the guest’s own risk.
  • Guests must follow safety instructions and exercise reasonable care.
  1. Health, safety & personal responsibility
  • Guests must ensure they are physically and mentally fit to participate.
  • Any relevant medical conditions must be disclosed in advance.
  • Participation in activities is at your own risk.
  1. Insurance
  • Guests are strongly encouraged to hold adequate travel, personal, and health insurance covering all retreat activities.
  • The organiser accepts no responsibility for costs incurred due to lack of insurance.
  1. Guest conduct
  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other participants, staff, and the venue.
  • The organiser may remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, without refund.
  1. Personal belongings
  • The organiser is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  1. Photography & media
  • Photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes.
  • Guests who do not wish to appear in media must notify the organiser in writing.
  1. Acceptance of terms
  • By booking and making payment, guests confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
  1. Governing law, jurisdiction & on-site compliance
  • English law governs these T&Cs. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Consumer Rights Preservation: Mandatory consumer protections in the guest’s country of residence still apply.
  • French law applies on-site, including venue safety, pool safety, alcohol licensing, excursions, and other local regulations.
  • Guests must comply with French safety rules and organiser instructions. Participation in activities is voluntary and at their own risk.
  • Guests are strongly encouraged to hold adequate insurance.
  • If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder remains in full force.
  1. Bedroom allocation
  • Guests select their preferred bedroom at the time of booking, and this selection is binding.
  • If a guest wishes to request a different room upon arrival, they must raise it with the organiser.
  • The organiser will determine if a change can be accommodated; however, guests acknowledge that changes may not be possible due to availability or logistical constraints.
  1. Dispute resolution
  • In the event of a dispute, both guest and organiser agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably through informal negotiation.
  • If unresolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation with a mutually agreed neutral mediator.
  • If still unresolved, either party may pursue legal remedies under Clause 16 (Governing Law & Jurisdiction).
  • This does not prevent urgent court actions where necessary.
  1. Respect for the environment & dress code
  • Guests must dispose of all rubbish properly using the facilities provided on-site. No littering is allowed in the natural surroundings, including the park, gardens, or nearby natural areas.
  • Guests are expected to respect the environment at all times and avoid actions that may damage flora, fauna, or local habitats.
  • Guests are encouraged to dress colourfully and with personality throughout the retreat.
  • Glitter is not permitted due to its damaging environmental effects as microplastics. Glitter cream based mineral makeup however may be used, but must not enter the swimming pool or be disposed of in the natural environment.

 

Market Tour & Cooking Workshops

Market Tour Terms & Conditions

By booking a place on the market tour and cooking workshop, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

  1. Booking & payment
  • A booking is confirmed once the full tour fee has been paid.
  • Payments can be made via [your chosen payment method].
  • Spaces are limited and booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
  1. Cancellation & refund policy
  • Cancellations made at least 7 days before the tour start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour start date are non-refundable.
  • In the event of extreme weather or other circumstances at the organiser’s discretion that make the tour unsafe or impractical, a 50% refund may be offered. Decisions on refunds due to weather are entirely at the organiser’s discretion.
  1. Outdoor activity disclaimer
  • All market tours are conducted outdoors, and participants book at their own risk.
  • Guests should be prepared for varying weather conditions, including rain, wind, or heat.
  • Participants are responsible for their own clothing, footwear, sun protection, and hydration.
  1. Cooking class & shared meal
  • The tour includes a cooking class and shared meal.
  • Guests must notify the organiser of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or intolerances prior to booking.
  • Participation in cooking activities is at the guest’s own risk, including risk of burns, cuts, or other minor injuries.
  • Guests consuming alcohol during the shared meal must do so responsibly. The organiser may refuse service or remove a guest if behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.
  1. Health & safety
  • Guests must ensure they are physically capable of participating in all aspects of the tour, including walking, cooking, and standing outdoors.
  • Participants with medical conditions or mobility concerns should notify the organiser before booking.
  • The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation if there is a risk to the guest or others.
  1. Liability
  • The organiser accepts no liability for personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property, except where caused by the organiser’s negligence.
  • Participation in outdoor activities, cooking, shared meals, and alcohol consumption is entirely at the guest’s own risk.
  1. Conduct
  • Guests must behave respectfully toward other participants, vendors, and members of the public.
  • The organiser may remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or abusive, without refund.
  1. Photography & media
  • Photos or videos may be taken during the tour for promotional purposes.
  • Guests who do not wish to appear in media must notify the organiser in advance.
  1. Insurance
  • Participants are strongly encouraged to hold adequate personal, health, and travel insurance covering the duration of the tour.
  1. Governing law & jurisdiction
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes arising from the tour.
  • If any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder remains in full force.
  1. Dispute resolution
  • The organiser and participant agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably through informal negotiation.
  • If unresolved within 14 days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation with a mutually agreed neutral mediator before pursuing legal action.
